Drama 3: Technical Theatre
About the ClassDrama three focuses on all of the technical aspects of a production. It is a very practical, project-based class in which students will develop proficiency in the following units:
Semester 1 Unit 1: Student Technician Certification Unit 2: Set Construction and Design Unit 3: Theatrical Painting Unit 4: Theatrical Lighting Semester 2 Unit 5: Sound Design and Implementation Unit 6: Prop Design and Construction Unit 7: Costume Design Unit 8: Publicity Unit 9: Culminating Project Each of the above units will begin with an introduction on the theory, and then proceed into the practical applications of the knowledge. Each unit will end with a final project or product, which the students will create to display mastery of the content. The final unit, the Culminating Project, will combine all of the knowledge learned throughout the year. |

The department does have a collection of old shirts, which students may borrow when painting.
- A shirt and pair of pants/shorts which can get damaged by paint.
